The School also offers a two and a half years Tourism Management Program leading to a master's degree.

In recent years, the School's faculty members have completed a number of research projects sponsored by the National Foundation for Social Sciences, the Shanghai Foundation for Social Sciences, and the Shanghai Foundation for Public Policy Research. Drawing on its close connection with reputed universities and relevant industries both at home and abroad, the School has appointed many preeminent scholars, government officials and business executives as its guest professors.

With bringing out the best in all the learners as its guiding philosophy of education, the mission of the School is to develop high-quality, application-oriented, and well-rounded professionals working in tourism and event management. The curriculum attaches great importance to cross-cultural communication, internship programs, and case studies. The School cultivates students' spirit of innovation, communication competencies, sense of teamwork and social responsibility through various ways, such as student exchange programs, career development programs, and high-level seminars.

The School has forged international partnerships with prestigious universities around the world, such as Germany, Britain and France, in cooperative teaching, research and exchange programs. The German Academic Exchange Service (Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst or DAAD), Germany's national agency for the support of international academic cooperation, has established in the School a special fellowship funding students' study in Germany.

Graduates from the School have excellent job prospects and are highly sought after by employers in the sector of tourism, event management, consulting services, banking and securities, financial institutes, and trading companies.
