The International Business School has a high-caliber faculty team with high professional standards and a good mix of ages and educational backgrounds. There are 98 full-time faculty members, including 19 full professors and 47 associate professors, and 88% of the faculty have doctoral degrees. Among the faculty members, there are more than 10 faculty members recognized as provincial and ministerial talent such as experts entitled to a governmental allowance of the State Council, New Century Talent of the Ministry of Education, Shanghai Leading Talent, Young Oriental Scholars, and Shuguang Scholars, and 6 doctoral supervisors. In recent 5 years, the School has engaged some discipline and academic leaders and more than 20 part-time professors from home and abroad. Many of them are members of the National Education Steering Commission for Master of International Business, and the National Education Steering commissions for Undergraduate Programs of Logistics Management, and economics and trade, or hold the leadership of professional positions in important academic platforms such as the Chinese Society of World Economy, ChineseSociety of International Trade, National Collaborative Group of International Trade Disciplines in Universities, Shanghai Society of World Economy, and Shanghai Society of World Economics. In many theoretical and policy researches, such as those on China's re-entry to the GATT and accession to the WTO, engagement in globalization, the strategy of strengthening foreign trade, building a new system of the open economy, and promoting high-quality economic development, our faculty members have pioneered and made active and significant scientific contributions. Many faculty members have been awarded the Shanghai May Day Labor Medal, the Sun Yefang Award, and the T.K. Ann International Trade Award, and young faculty members have emerged as leaders in the academic community.
