In the past five years, our faculty members have presided over nearly 20 national, provincial and ministerial academic projects such as “Driving and Limiting Factors and Promotion of Nonprofit Scenic Spots”, “Research on Measurement, Formation Mechanism and Solutions of Trade Deficit in China’s Tourism”, and “Research on Main Tasks, Paths and Specific Measures for Developing Shanghai as the Capital of International Events”, and over 20 privately sponsored projects such as “Development of Shanghai Event Industry for 2035 Excellent Global City” and “Special Research on Further Amplifying the Spillover Effect of China International Import Expo (CIIE) ”. Several special reports were approved by the highest officials of Shanghai City. Our faculty members have significantly contributed to serving regional social and economic development. In addition, the Yangtze River Delta Event Research Institute, Shanghai Tourism and Culture Research Center, Sino-German International Event Research Institute, and other scientific research platforms independently or jointly built by the School have gradually shown their influence nationwide.
