SUIBE Adds Two Undergraduate Programs, Open for Enrollment from 2026

Recently, the Ministry of Education announced the 2025 registration and approval results for undergraduate programs offered by regular higher education institutions (HEIs). Two undergraduate programs submitted by SUIBE, Digital Economy and Data Science, have been officially approved and will begin enrolling students in the fall of 2026.

The approval of these new programs represents a significant step by the university to proactively serve the development of China’s digital economy and to align with the needs of Shanghai’s efforts to build the “Five Centers”. Closely following the trends in the era of digital intelligence, the university is accelerating supply-side reforms in academic disciplines and programs, empowering the development of new liberal arts through digitalization, and comprehensively enhancing the alignment of talent cultivation with economic and social needs.
