SUIBE Receives Visiting Delegation from Baku Branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University

On April 24th, the delegation from the Baku Branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University visited SUIBE. The delegation was led by President Sadovnichy Yuri Viktorovich, Associate Professor Savelyev Igor Igorevich, Director of the BRICS International Exchange Cooperation Center at the Faculty of Economics of Moscow State University, and Associate Professor Dzhikiyeva Albina Hanapievna from the Department of Micro-and Macroeconomic Analysis at the School of Economics of Moscow State University. Zhang Yiguo, Vice Chairman of the University Council of SUIBE and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission met with the delegation at the Changning Campus.


Zhang Yiguo extended a warm welcome to the delegation. He noted the two universities see a common ground as they both offer programs in economics, international trade, and global governance, thus sharing broad prospects for cooperation. He hopes that this meeting will serve as an opportunity to deepen academic exchanges, think tank collaboration, and joint talent cultivation, thereby advancing China-Russia educational and people-to-people exchanges.


Sadovnichy Yuri Viktorovich expressed gratitude for the warm reception. He introduced Moscow State University’s century-long history, disciplinary strengths, and international cooperation, emphasizing that Moscow State University and the Baku Branch highly value cooperation with SUIBE. He looks forward to conducting practical collaboration in faculty and student exchanges, joint training, and academic research for mutual benefit.


Savelyev Igor Igorevich introduced the Faculty of Economics of Moscow State University, and the background, priorities and international cooperation of the BRICS Center. He hopes that two universities would cooperate in key areas such as BRICS economy and technological security.

During the meeting, the two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on jointly organizing academic seminars, faculty and student exchanges, international cooperation, and enterprise-university cooperation, reaching a preliminary consensus on collaboration.
