On April 8th, SUIBE held a kick-off meeting on data governance. SUIBE President Wang Rongming and SUIBE Vice President Jiang Xiuzhen attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Jiang Xiuzhen.
Wang Rongming emphasized that data governance is a systematic project concerning the modernization of the university’s governance capacity, requiring coordinated efforts across the university. He requested the attendees to raise awareness and deeply understand that data governance is the only way to promote the modernization of SUIBE’s governance system and capacity. He also stressed grasping the key points, taking data governance as the driving force to comprehensively promote the “AI + data” construction, and clarifying responsibilities to ensure the effective implementation of all data governance tasks.
Jiang Xiuzhen fully acknowledged the university’s data governance plan and computing power construction blueprint. She urged requiring the Office of Informatization and the Experimental Center to refine the implementation plans and clarify the task list and division of responsibilities.
Liu Liangliang, Director of the Office of Informatization, detailed the implementation and advancement plans for data governance. Li Mosi, Director of the Experimental Center, reported on the development of the university’s computing center from the aspects of computing scale, resource clustering and scheduling management, and the site selection and construction of professional computing equipment rooms.
