On the afternoon of March 25, SUIBE held an expanded meeting of the comprehensive reform leading group and a meeting for promoting the comprehensive reform in Conference Room 510 of the comprehensive building in Changning campus. Chairman of the University Council of SUIBE Qi Ming, President Wang Rongming, Vice Chairman of the University Council of SUIBE and Chairman of the Discipline Inspection Commission Zhang Yiguo, Vice Chairman of the University Council of SUIBE and Vice President Shen Yi, and Vice President Xu Yonglin、Jiang Xiuzhen attended this meeting.
In his concluding speech, Qi Ming affirmed the solid work of all sectors around the comprehensive reform plan. Regarding the next stage of work, he requested relevant parties to unify thinking and work hard, and effectively enhance the sense of responsibility and urgency of reform. He called on them to strengthen overall planning and make systematic, collaborative and innovative efforts while advancing reform. He urged them to take the opportunity of establishing and practicing the correct view of political performance and take the assessment and evaluation mechanism as the traction to promote the implementation of comprehensive reform as soon as possible.
Presiding over the meeting, Wang Rongming stressed that the 2026 comprehensive reform implementation plan is the outcome of consensus-building and systematic planning by all units and departments across the university. The thorough and solid implementation of breakthrough reform measures should be accelerated as a key annual priority. Aligning with the expectations and requirements of the state and Shanghai for the university, SUIBE will strive to make new and greater contributions to national strategies including serving high-level opening up and the development of Shanghai’s “five centers”.
At the meeting, the members of SUIBE’s comprehensive reform leading group, combined with their respective responsibilities, put forward targeted requirements around the overall deployment, promotion ideas, and key tasks of this year’s comprehensive reform, clarifying the direction for the solid advancement of various tasks.
