On the evening of February 11th, the student cafeteria on Songjiang Campus of SUIBE was festively lit and decorated as SUIBE hosted a Chinese New Year's Eve dinner for the 2026 Year of the Horse. SUIBE President Wang Rongming, Deputy Chairman of the University Council of SUIBE and Vice President Shen Yi, together with teacher representatives from administrative departments and schools, joined the dinner and celebrated the festival with more than 100 students staying on campus during the winter vacation.

The dinner officially started with Wang Rongming’s Spring Festival address. He extended holiday greetings to the students staying on campus, encouraging them to gallop ahead, and excel in their studies in the Year of the Horse, and take on new missions and make new achievements in serving national strategies and Shanghai’s development. He then led the entire venue in singing Unforgettable Tonight. Wishing our motherland prosperity, the familiar melody resonated through the cafeteria as the president's sincere and heartfelt voice filled the air. Students in the audience held up their phones to capture this precious moment.

The dinner was highlighted by a student talent show, where those staying on campus ignited the audience's enthusiasm with their performances. Interactive games brought the atmosphere to a climax. Three horse-themed games were filled with fun, as teams of teachers and students competed against each other, keeping the venue filled with laughter. The excitement continued to build with lucky draws interspersed throughout the evening. As the third, second, first, and finally the grand prizes were announced, waves of cheers erupted.

As the announcement to start the feast was made, steaming New Year's Eve dishes were served one after another, their aroma instantly filling the hall. The dinner featured six cold dishes and 12 hot courses, each carrying New Year's greetings and best wishes for the students.
