SUIBE Students Visit International Organizations in Geneva During Winter Vacation

During the 2026 winter vacation, nearly 30 undergraduate and postgraduate students from the School of Global Governance and the Global Competence Center of SUIBE visited international organizations in Geneva, Switzerland, led by Deputy Chairman of the Council of the School of Global Governance Cheng Dong, and a counselor from the School of Management Han Xiao.

During a 10-day stay in Geneva, they visited a series of important international organizations, including the World Trade Organization, the UN Trade and Development, the International Labour Organization, the International Monetary Fund and the World Intellectual Property Organization, with an aim to gain a better understanding of international rules and discover the value of youth.

Through on-site visits, special courses, and exchanges and discussions with officials from these organizations, they deepened their cognition and thinking in international practice, and further clarified the responsibilities, missions and action paths of young people in the new era to participate in global governance.

In this in-depth practical research tour, the SUIBE team, with reflections on global governance issues and China’s practices, visited nearly 10 international organizations and relevant institutions in Geneva, and had in-depth dialogues and discussions with international organization officials and experts in the field of global governance to solve doubts. Guided by a problem-oriented approach, the students and faculty proactively explored and conducted in-depth research on key topics such as international trade rules, intellectual property protection, and environmental governance. Through this overseas learning experience, they have strengthened their connection to China, broadened their global perspective, enhanced their professional expertise, and gained clarity on their future paths.

In the future, SUIBE will continue to expand platforms that connect China with the world, sharpening students’ professional expertise and global competence, and empower more outstanding young talents to contribute to global governance.
