On January 16th, the 5th Session of the 2nd Faculty and Staff Congress and Labor Union Congress was held at the Changning Campus. WangRongming delivered an administrative work report titled Advancing Comprehensive Reforms, Drawing a New Picture of High-Quality Development. The report reviewed and summarized the university's development in 2025, analyzed the macroeconomic context, and outlined key administrative tasks for 2026. It also summarized the main measures taken to protect the rights and interests of faculty and students in 2025 and outlined work ideas for 2026.
WuYi delivered an annual work report of the 2nd Labor Union Committee, themed Consolidating Hearts and Minds Forging the Soul, Striving for New Heights and Quality, Pushing Trade Union Work to a New Level. The report comprehensively reviewed the Committee's achievements over the past year and proposed key work priorities for 2026.
XuYonglin presented the university's financial work report, providing a detailed account of the financial revenue and expenditure and financial management in 2025 with comprehensive data.
The congress reviewed in written form the report on the handling of proposals from the 4th Session of the 2nd Faculty and Staff Congress and the 2025 Labor Union Funds Audit Report.
In the afternoon, during the second plenary session, the congress resolution was voted upon and approved.
Finally, QiMing delivered a concluding speech on behalf of the University Council of SUIBE.
