SUIBE Wins First Prize in 14th China WTO Moot Court Competition

Recently, the 14th China WTO Moot Court Competition was held in Southwest University of Political Science and Law. After written submission evaluations, online preliminaries, and multiple offline competitions, SUIBE team stood out among 66 participating teams from across China, winning the national first prizein the team category, the first prize of the complainant’s pleading and the second place of the defendant’s pleading. Besides, LiangMohan, a Class of 2024 student majoring in International Economic and Trade Rules, was awarded the “Best Debater for the Complainant” in the preliminary round. These achievements fully demonstrate SUIBE’s strength in talent development in the field of WTO law.


 

Since its official launch in November, this year’s competition attracted 66 university teams from across China, including Peking University School of Transnational Law and China University of Political Science and Law. The event simulated the entire WTO dispute settlement process, consisting of multiple rounds: written submission evaluation, online preliminaries, offline quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the final.
