On the morning of October 18, SUIBE held the Inaugural Meeting and the First Plenary Session of the First Council on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of its founding. The event aimed to further deepen comprehensive reform, pool strengths from all sectors of society, and advance the modernization of the university’s governance system and capacity. Council members from government departments, enterprises, and institutions of higher education gathered to discuss the university’s future development.
Participants engaged in extensive and in-depth exchanges and discussions on the council charter, disciplinary development, talent cultivation, industry-education integration, and social services, and put forward a series of constructive suggestions. The meeting deliberated on and adopted the Charter of the SUIBE Council.
Qi Ming, Chairman of the University Council, stated that SUIBE will make full use of the council as a bridge and link ensuring it plays an active advisory and guiding role in advancing SUIBE’s major reforms and development initiatives.
