Professor Qiu Shaoheng was a world-renowned jurist and former Honorary Dean of the former Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade. Adopting flashback, the drama starts with his 1982 reunion with his old friend Professor He Luting, vividly interpreting his magnificent life of pursuing academics and serving the country. It reproduces his participation in major historical events such as the Tokyo Trial, the Shibuya Case Trial, the Trial of the Gang of Four, and the drafting of the Basic Law of Hong Kong, and tells the little-known stories behind them.

After the performance, Zhou Hanmin shared his feelings about the drama with the audience. He profoundly summarized the spirit of Qiu Shaoheng: unwavering dedication to serving the country; rigorous academic pursuit; magnanimity and modesty.

The script of the master drama had been revised and recreated, supplementing and improving the stories of Professor Qiu Shaoheng leading and organizing the first national advanced training course for foreign-related lawyers entrusted by the Ministry of Justice in the 1980s.
