SUIBE Leadership Delegation Visits Partner Universities in UK and Ireland

Recently, Wu Yi, Vice Chairman of the University Council of SUIBE, led a delegation to the United Kingdom and Ireland, visiting Royal Holloway, University of London, Hertford College, University of Oxford, University of Central Lancashire in the UK and Dublin City University in Ireland.

On September 22, the delegation visited Royal Holloway, University of London at invitation. The two sides had in-depth exchanges of views on promoting faculty and student exchanges, enhancing academic research cooperation among teachers, and advancing joint training of master’s and higher-level students in interdisciplinary fields. They also shared experiences and practices in industry-university-research cooperation and signed a memorandum of cooperation on students’ overseas study.

 


 

 


On September 23, the delegation visited Hertford College, University of Oxford, where the two sides exchanged views on further expanding summer study programs and teacher exchanges. The delegation also learned about SUIBE students participating in summer programs at the University of Oxford.


 

 


On September 24, the delegation visited the University of Central Lancashire, conducting in-depth discussions on further promoting the innovation of cooperation models and the expansion of cooperation fields around the future strategic plans of the two universities.

 

 

  


From September 25 to 26, the delegation visited Dublin City University in Ireland. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on important initiatives such as promoting a “1+1” joint training of master’s students, advancing cooperative education in key fields, and co-establishing a joint research center. The delegation paid visits to the university’s main campus and business school.
