Professor Wu Ruijun’s report, titled “Fundamental Strategies for Organized Research in Humanities and Social Sciences”, drew upon the practical experience of East China Normal University and provided a systematic exposition covering team building, categorized advancement of platforms and think tanks, and the organization of interdisciplinary research.

In his address, Wang Rongming fully acknowledged the outstanding achievements in SUIBE’s scientific research work. He emphasized the need to view things from broader perspectives, closely align with the new requirements of higher education about “greater emphasis on public service and stronger contributions,” and focus on the university’s distinctive strengths in international, economic, and trade studies. It is essential to deepen scientific research management and continuously improve the standard of research endeavors. Proactive planning and early strategic deployment should be strengthened, alongside enhancing interdisciplinary team building and fostering the development of young faculty. By refining incentive mechanisms, the university will promote the sustained output of high-level research achievements and think tank outcomes. He hopes that all scientific research administrators and researchers keep working hard, continue to strengthen their academic foundations, and jointly make new and greater contributions to advancing the university’s high-quality development and enhancing its capacity to serve national strategic priorities.
