On the morning of September 18th, Premier Jacinta Allan of Victoria, Australia led a delegation to visit the Changning Campus of SUIBE, and together with Qi Ming, Chairman of the University Council of SUIBE, witnessed the signing of a strategic cooperation memorandum of understanding (MoU) between SUIBE and Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University (RMIT University), which was inked by SUIBE President Wang Rongming and Vice Chancellor Leighton Parker of RMIT University.


Before the signing ceremony, Wang Rongming met with the delegation led by Jacinta Allan and a delegation from RMIT University. Wang Rongming extended a warm welcome to Jacinta Allan and the delegation, and briefly introduced the SUIBE’s school-running characteristics, development achievements and international school-running strategy. He pointed out that the signing of the strategic cooperation MoU marks a new stage of comprehensive upgrading of cooperation between the two universities. He expressed the expectation that the two sides will work together in solidarity to cultivate high-level talents with a global perspective. Leighton Parker introduced the successful experience of the two universities in project cooperation mode and collaborative talent cultivation. Based on the profound mutual trust between the two universities, he had great confidence in expanding the prospects of higher-quality and deeper-level cooperation.
Jacinta Allan first expressed her gratitude for the warm reception of SUIBE and congratulated SUIBE on the fruitful achievements in educational cooperation with Australian universities. She hoped that the two universities will take the cooperation upgrading as an opportunity to further deepen educational exchanges and international talent cultivation between the two countries. She stated that the Victorian government will set up scholarships to support more students to study in China, and looked forward to seeing more students from Victoria studying at SUIBE in the future.

After the signing ceremony, Jacinta Allan had a warm conversation with representatives of students joining SUIBE’s China-Australia cooperative programs, alumni representatives and teacher representatives, to learn more about the cooperation between the two universities.
