Twenty projects of SUIBE have secured funding from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), according to the review results released by the foundation on August 27. One is a key program project, three are general program projects, and the remaining sixteen are young scientists fund projects, setting a historical record in both quantity and quality.
Among the approved projects, the School of Statistics and Data Science has secured a key program project for the first time, which is titled “Research and Application of Statistical Methods Based on Complex Big Data in Aviation Safety” and led by Professor ZhangRiquan, Dean of the School. This marks SUIBE’s first-ever breakthrough in the field of key program projects, representing a significant milestone in enhancing SUIBE’s influence in basic science research.
