He reviewed the development of the School of Global Governance in the past year, and put forward three core issues of talent cultivation: the positioning of undergraduate cultivation of international organization reserve talents, the definition of global competence, and the practical path of competence-oriented teaching mode. He emphasized that through interdisciplinary integration and global competency cultivation, the cultivation of talents for international organizations needs to deliver inter-disciplinary talents with both patriotism and international perspectives for global governance.
Xu Yonglin, Vice President of SUIBE made a closing speech. He pointed out that the cultivation of talents for international organizations is a strategic project that “benefits both the present and the future”, which needs to be based on the long term, integrate resources and break through barriers. He advocated that colleges and universities should strengthen cooperation, establish a curriculum sharing platform, a joint competition mechanism and an internship information network, and called on government departments and international organizations to deeply participate in the cultivation of talents and build a talent pool of global governance with Chinese characteristics, so as to jointly promote the cultivation of reserve talents for international organizations to achieve positive results.
Ying Pinguang, Dean of the School of Global Governance, introduced the cultivation of reserve talents for international organizations of SUIBE.
At the seminar, the participating experts carried out exchanges and discussions on two major themes, namely, innovation and practical exploration of the mode of cultivating reserve talents for international organizations and optimization of the path and upgrading the delivery of reserve talents for international organizations.
