SUIBE Vice President Xu Yonglin Leads Delegation to Visit Overseas Partner Institutions in France and Chile

Recently, SUIBE Vice President Xu Yonglin led a delegation to visit institutions in France and Chile, including Université Paris Nanterre, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and Universidad de Chile.




 


From May 6th to 8th, the delegation visited Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaiso, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and the Universidad de Chile, and also paid a courtesy visit to the Confucius Institute jointly established by Nanjing University and Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. During the visit to Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, the two sides focused their discussions on key topics such as the alignment of economic and trade rules, MBA programs, and high-level talent cultivation. They also explored possibilities for promoting joint masters cultivation, research on the global expansion of Chinese enterprises, and comparative studies of economic and trade rules in Belt and Road countries.




During the visit to Universidad de Chile, the two sides reached an agreement on further expanding faculty exchanges, carrying out short-term course collaboration, and promoting cooperation in related fields such as the Asian Research Program, China-Latin America Economic and Trade Relations, and foreign-related rule of law.





During the visit to Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaiso, the two sides reached a consensus on further promoting faculty and student exchanges, actively promoting international joint scientific research and multi-level joint cultivation of talents, and sharing resources for multilingual talent cultivation.





During the visit, the delegation also visited the Confucius Institute jointly established by Nanjing University and Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. The two sides engaged in extensive exchanges on the current status of Chinese language education in the South America, the construction of overseas faculty, and the operation and management of Confucius Institutes, and reached an agreement on further expanding the coordination of international Chinese education activities.
