On the afternoon of April 30th, the Inaugural Plenary Meeting of the 3rd Academic Committee of SUIBE was held in Conference Room 510 of the Comprehensive Building at the Gubei Campus. SUIBE President Wang Rongming and all members of the 3rd Academic Committee attended the meeting.
The meeting deliberated and voted to adopt the Election Method for the Chairperson and Vice-Chairpersons of SUIBE’s Third Academic Committee. Through an anonymous vote by all members, Wang Rongming was elected as the Chairperson of the 3rd Academic Committee, while Professors Zhang Riquan, Zhang Yun, and He Huanlang were elected as Vice-Chairpersons. Following the election, Wang Rongming presented appointment letters to the new members of the Academic Committee, extending his warm congratulations and high expectations for their future contributions.
In his speech, Wang Rongming emphasized that the Academic Committee is the core force of the SUIBE’s academic governance system. Strengthening the academic management system centered around the Academic Committee is a crucial measure to implement the “One School, One Policy” reform initiative. The new Academic Committee is expected to further build consensus, play its pivotal role in academic affairs, and drive the academic development of the university with a strong sense of responsibility. Moreover, he stressed that the members hold an honorable mission and significant responsibilities, and he hopes they will enhance their political awareness, adhere to correct academic orientation, focus on core tasks, actively perform their duties, thus contributing their wisdom and strength to the SUIBE’s academic development.
Besides, the 1st plenary meeting also reviewed and approved the Charter of the Academic Committee of SUIBE, the Rules of Procedure for the Academic Committee of SUIBE, and regulations for various subcommittees.
