On March 7th, SUIBE President WangRongming, along with WuYi, Vice Chairman of the University Council of SUIBE, and XuYonglin, SUIBE vice president, and JiangXiuzhen, SUIBE vice president, visited the School of Finance to learn about the development of the Digital Finance Industry School (DFIS).

In his concluding remarks, WangRongming emphasized the DFIS' vital importance in serving national strategies and advancing the university's development. As one of Shanghai's first batch of key schools specializing in modern industry, it should create a ripple effect, serving as a model industrial academy that can be replicated and promoted on a broader scale. He outlined three key directives for its development: First, the DFIS shoulddeepen the collaborative talent development system by aligning industry development with education. This involves building a teaching framework that supports digital transformation and cultivating versatile professionals in digital finance in a targeted manner. Secondly, the School should strengthen cooperation with enterprises and research institutes to drive innovation, facilitate knowledge transfer to consistently empower scientific research and regional services, achieving precise alignment across the education, chain, industrial, and innovation chains. Thirdly, it should foster cross-function synergy by integrating resources from industry-university alliances, think tanks, and global partnerships, thereby accelerating Shanghai's goal of building Five Centers

SUIBE leaders and business representatives held in-depth discussions, promising to explore innovative models for industry-education integration, work to promote the Digital Finance Industry School, and further advance the university's development strategy.

Zhang Yun, Dean of the School of Finance, presented updates on the DFIS' progress, while faculty member DengMingmao and graduate students representative Tang Xiao conducted demonstrations of the school's curriculum and experimental platforms.
