He briefly reviewed SUIBE’s development over the past six decades, highlighting its contributions to education, trade, and Shanghai’s “Five Centers” development. He stressed that SUIBE would leverage its strengths in academic resources, talent pool, and intellectual capital to establish a robust platform for customs trade analysis and macro-research, thereby facilitating customs authorities to serve macro-decision making of the country. Furthermore, SUIBE expects to further strengthen practical cooperation with the GAC and its sub-organizations in multiple fields, so as to jointly contribute to China’s endeavor to build itself into a stronger country and rejuvenate the Chinese nation on all fronts by pursuing Chinese modernization.
