SUIBE Holds Council Meeting of ITB’s Confucius Classroom

On the morning of September 13th, SUIBE president Wang Rongming met with a visiting delegation from Czech, including Vojtech Stehel, President of the Institute of Technology and Business in České Budějovice (ITB), David Dvorsky, Vice Mayor of České Budějovice, Robert Sinkner, Chairman of TKP Education Group in České Budějovice, and Monika Hruba, Czech Director of ITBs Confucius Classroom.



Wang Rongming warmly welcomed the delegation led by Vojtech Stehel, and then briefly introduced the university. He said meeting between the presidents of SUIBE and ITB was of great significance. SUIBE actively supports the further expansion of ITB’s Confucius Classroom and sincerely hopes that the two universities will continuously expand the cooperation areas and enrich the essence of the cooperation. Vojtech Stehel expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and invited Wang Rongming to lead a delegation to visit VSTE at an appropriate time.




At the Council Meeting of ITBs Confucius Classroom, the council heard a report on the work of ITBs Confucius Classroom for the 2023-2024 academic year, then reviewed and approved a work plan for the 2024-2025 academic year. The two sides also engaged in in-depth discussions on recent work arrangements. Both parties recognized that ITBs Confucius Classroom, with the support of the Chinese International Education Foundation and the Center for Language Education and Cooperation, as well as the efforts of all staff members, has made significant contributions to promoting Chinese language teaching and research, fostering cooperation between Chinese and Czech universities, and enhancing friendship between the peoples of the two countries, especially the youth. The council hopes that ITBs Confucius Classroom, while focusing on the core mission of Chinese language education, can highlight its unique Tourism + Business educational approach by taking into account its local conditions, further innovate its education models, enrich teaching resources, and improve the quality of education.



During the meeting, Vice Mayor Mr. David Dvorsky, on behalf of the České Budějovice Municipal Government, expressed his commitment to continue providing multifaceted support to ITBs Confucius Classroom. Chairman Robert Sinkner welcomed Chinese students to undertake internships in the TKP Education Group.
