SUIBE Receives Visiting Delegation from Shanghai Normal University

On the morning of June 27th, President Yuan Wen and Vice President Chen Heng of Shanghai Normal University (SHNU) visited SUIBE for a survey of the latter's think tank development. Wang Rongming, SUIBE President, Xu Yonglin, Vice President and the director of SUIBE’s decision-making consultation research base, and Cheng Lingzhi, official with the CPC Shanghai Municipal Working Committee of Education and Health, attended a symposium. The symposium was presided over by Wang Rongming.


Wang expressed his welcome to the delegation, and his gratitude to the Municipal Education and Health Work Department for their long-term support in SUIBE’s think tank development and for establishing a cooperation and exchange platform among universities. He also detailed the progress made in SUIBE’s think tank development. Wang hopes that SHNU will continue to support SUIBE’s think tank development, promote high-quality growth through high-level cooperation between the two universities so as to create a model for think tank cooperation among universities in Shanghai.

Yuan Wen congratulated SUIBE on its achievements in think tank development over the past years and thanked SUIBE for comprehensively sharing its experience in this field. She expressed her hope that both sides would focus on the “education plus” concept, strengthen research cooperation between think tanks, leverage complementary advantages, achieve win-win cooperation, and build a new type of think tanks among Shanghai’s universities, thus fueling their capacity to serve national strategies and Shanghai’s urban development.

During the symposium, Chen Heng commended SUIBE for its exploration in the institutional mechanisms of think tank development and engaged in discussions on the topic. Cheng Lingzhi introduced the construction of SUIBE’s decision-making consultation research base, with a focus on its institutional mechanisms.
