On the morning of June 25th, SUIBE held the graduation ceremony and degree conferral ceremony for the Class of 2024 graduates in Conference Room 507 of the information building on Songjiang Campus. Qi Ming, Chairman of the University Council of SUIBE, along with President Wang Rongming and Vice Presidents Xu Yonglin and Jiang Xiuzhen, attended the ceremony.
Wang Rongming delivered the final lesson to the graduates, themed Crafting Your Life's Equation. He likened life to an equation with boundless possibilities, where pursuing dreams is akin to solving the equation. Then, he imparted three aspirations to all graduates: firstly, in the equation of original aspiration and goals, regarding perseverance and effort as the only solution in life; secondly, embracing unknown variables with courage and wisdom and facing challenges with youth vigor; thirdly, determining the mode of operation with steadfastness, integrating interests of individuals into the big goals of the country to write a colorful life.
Wang Rongming said that the alma mater would always be the strong supporter for graduates, wishing all of them can find their ideal life equation and attain the optimal solution of happiness and success in the future.
Jiang Xiuzhen announced the list of Master's, Bachelor's, and Honorary Bachelor's Degrees awarded to the 2024 Graduates of SUIBE. Xu Yonglin read out the list of Shanghai excellent graduates and SUIBE excellent graduates for 2024. Wang Rongming, as the Chairman of the University's Degree Evaluation Committee, presented degree authorization letters to the heads of colleges. University leaders presented honorary certificates, academic degrees, and graduation tassels to outstanding graduate representatives.
Qi Ming presented commemorative plaques to representatives of graduates who will embark on grassroots employment and three representatives of them made reports.
Teachers' representative, Dean Zhang Tiezhu from the School of Finance and Management, undergraduate graduate representative Liu Hongshuo from the School of Statistics and Information, graduate student representative Dai Ziru from the School of International Economics and Trade, and international student graduate representative Ni Ka each delivered speeches.
