Wang Rongming, SUIBE President, led a delegation to visit the United Arab Emirates, Malta, and Morocco, as an effort to implement the Belt and Road Initiative, deepen Sino-foreign cultural exchanges, and further implement the university's internationalization strategy, actively expand its diversified international network, and continuously enhance the quality of international exchange and cooperation. The delegation visited the University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD), Mohammed V University of Rabat, Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), and the Rabat Business School, Université Internationale de Rabat.
On May 10th, the delegation visited UOWD. They met with Dr. Mohammed Vall Zein, Principal of the University of Wollongong in Dubai, signed a cooperation agreement,and held talks with the leaders of the Business and Finance School, the Engineering and Computer Science School, and the International Cooperation and Exchange Department of the UOWD.
On May 12th-13th, the delegation visited the University of Malta, and met with Professor Alfred J. Vella, Principal of the University of Malta, and held talks with Dr. Colin Borg, Academic Dean of the University, Ms. Stefania Agius Fabri, Director of the International Office, Mr. Pierre Cassar, Director of the Office of Marketing, Communications and Alumni, Dr. Mario L. Cassar, Deputy Director of the Office and Professor Emmanuel Said, Dean of the School of Economics, Management and Accounting.
On May 15th and 16th, the delegation visited the Mohammed V University of Rabat, the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), and the Rabat Business School, Université Internationale de Rabat.
During their visit to Mohammed V University of Rabat, they had a meeting with Professor Farid El Bacha, Principal of the university, and held talks with many representatives, including Professor Kassou Ismail, Professor HNICE Omar, the Vice Principals of the university, Professor Driss Sefiani, Dean of the School of Law, Economics, and Social Sciences, Professor Mustapha Machrafi, Deputy Dean of the School and Mohamed Benhamou from the International Office.
During their visit to the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, the delegation toured its campus in Rabat and held a meeting with UM6P representatives. Both parties exchanged views on their respective school running philosophy, history, academic strengths, student cultivation characteristics, and future initiatives onpromoting faculty-students exchange and joint research projects between China and Africa.
During their visit to the Rabat Business School, Université Internationale de Rabat, the delegation met with Professor Olivier Aptel, Dean of the School, Professor Ahmed Ennasri, Vice Dean of the School, Sarah Bennani, Director of Development, Cooperation, and Educational Management, and Abdellatif Harraida, Director of International Affairs. They discussed how to foster broader inter-university faculty and student exchanges, promote international collaboration on MBA projects, and advance China-North Africa joint studies on regional and national development, international development, and Sino-African trade and investment relations.
