Wang Rongming Meets with President of Dublin City University, Signs Agreement for Collaborative Education Programs

On the morning of 12th April, ProfessorDáireKeogh, President of Dublin City University (DCU), led a delegation to visit SUIBE. The delegation included Professor Dominic Elliott, Executive Dean of DCU Business School, Ms. Gao Yuhui, Associate Professor of Marketing and DCU Coordinator for China, and Mr. Wang Xiaoxia, DCU Strategic Cooperation Manager for China. SUIBE President Wang Rongming welcomed the guests in the VIP hall at the Songjiang campus.



Wang warmly welcomed Keogh and the delegation, and provided an overview of SUIBE’s distinctive features in education, quality of talent cultivation, strengths in academic disciplines, contributions in think tank research and social services, as well as the university's internationalization efforts. He expressed his hope for deeper collaboration between the two universities in areas such as joint education of high-level compound talents and national and regional research as well as digital economies, so as to facilitate friendly exchanges between Dublin and Shanghai in education, trade, and other fields.



Keogh expressed gratitude for the warm reception from Wang and extended congratulations on the achievements of SUIBE. He said the two universities share similar educational philosophies, expressing the hope for them to deepen cooperation through this visit. He also invited Wang to lead a delegation to visit Dublin City University in the future.

During the meeting, the two presidents jointly signed the “Collaborative Education Agreement between Shanghai University of International Business and Economics and Dublin City University,” which was subsequently endorsed by the SUIBE International Office and the DCU Business School.
