On the afternoon of March 26th, a face-to-face with SUIBE president activity was held at LixiangJia in the students residential community. This themed activity was one of salon series on building better study environment for undergraduate, master, and doctorate program co-organized by Student (Postgraduates) Affairs Department and Graduate School. Wang Rongming, SUIBE President attended the meeting.
Wang listened to students’ remarks, and acknowledged their outstanding performance in academic research, discipline competitions, social services and innovation and entrepreneurship. He said that SUIBE always upholds a student-centric and academically-driven educational philosophy, cultivates specialties in international, economic and trade studies, carries out the basic task of fostering virtue through education. Besides, SUIBE is working to bring out the full potential for undergraduate, master, and doctorate programs with a better study environment. In addition, through optimizing the talent training system, SUIBE ensures its educational quality, brings beauty to the campus and cultivates the students’ community's capability in education so that students can develop in all respects.
Wang Rongming encouraged students to build confidence, cherish opportunities, work hard, take actions, consolidate their knowledge, expand international vision and have a patriotic mind. Moreover, students should integrate their development into the future of the country and the Chinese nation, follow the trend of the times and write an exceptional chapter in their youth through hard work.
In an exchange section, undergraduate representatives winning the President Scholarship, including Hua Jingwen from the School of Finance, Idayti Aifil from the School of Law and Wu Yujie from the School of Event and Communication, shared their stories of leading their respective classes in building a better study environment, participating in international discipline competitions and protecting the environment and biodiversity.
