SUIBE held the first regular meeting on scientific research work in the new semester in Conference Room 317 of Dezheng Building on March 5.Wang Rongming, President of SUIBE, participated in the meeting. The meeting was presided over by the Director of the Academic Research Office, Yan Haizhou.
Wang affirmed the great strides made by SUIBE in scientific research in recent years, analyzed the importance of scientific research work and its strategic significance to the development of the university, and exchanged views with attendees based on the theme of the meeting. He raised five requirements for the attendees on the scientific research work of SUIBE for the time being and the coming period. He demanded them to fully understand new circumstances, as well as the significance of creating new landscapes for the university's scientific research. He demanded them to further deepen reform and innovation to form synergy in scientific research. He requested the university to give full play to the advantages and characteristics of its think tank development, enhance its ability to give advice, and improve the level of social services. He also urged the university to improve the quality and level of scientific research and establish a more effective and comprehensive evaluation system. He demanded the attendees not to be afraid of difficulties and failure, but to be brave to persevere.
Yan Haizhou briefed the attendees on the overall strategy of scientific research work in 2024.
