On the morning of December 4th, SUIBE President Wang Rongming met with Gonzalo Figuelauer, Consul General of Chile in Shanghai, in Gubei campus of SUIBE. Gonzalo Figuelauer was accompanied by Claudio Muñoz and Max Iriarte, experts from the School of Medicine of the University of Chile, and his secretary Sun Haoyang.
Wang Rongming welcomed the revisit by Figuelauerand the first visit by the two medical specialists. He introduced to the delegation SUIBE’s characteristics, disciplinary advantages and the relevant achievements in the development of think tanks. Wang said that SUIBE expects to further strengthen cooperation and exchanges with the University of Chile and other higher institutions in various fields under the Belt and Road Initiative, so as to play a positive role in the friendly exchanges between China and Chile in humanities, education, economy and trade.
Figuelauer expressed his gratitude to SUIBE’s warm reception. He said that the Consulate General of Chile in Shanghai will support high-level Chilean delegations and delegations ofChilean universities to visit SUIBE, in order to promote educational exchanges between China and Chile, and strengthen their humanistic communication.
