On the afternoon of November 29th, an exchange meeting on the assessment and review of undergraduate programs was held by an expert panel in Conference Room 526 of the Information Building on the Songjiang campus.
Zhuo Zhi, the head of the panel and the former president of Southwest University of Finance and Economics, briefed on the overall review and assessment on behalf of the panel. Members of the panel, with an aim to assist SUIBE in identifying issues and achieving development, exchanged views and put forward constructive suggestions.
Ping Hui, the Inspector-General of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, delivered a speech on behalf of the commission. He hoped that SUIBE would deepen its ideological understanding, implement the fundamental task of moral education, adhere to high-quality development, work proactively to meet the demands of building a strong country of education and the development of Shanghai, continuously innovate the reform of talent cultivation models, enhance the teaching quality with distinctive characteristics of SUIBE, and improve SUIBE’s internal governance system and capacity.
Wong Rongming delivered speech on behalf of SUIBE. He stated we would stay true to original aspirations, stay object-oriented, and answer the “Three Educational Questions” of the new era, which encompass determining what kind of talents to cultivate, how to nurture them, and for whom the cultivation is intended. He highlighted the need for resolute determination, staying problem-based and implementing a systematic rectification of problems. He emphasized the significance of persistence, focusing on results, and solidifying the foundation of talent cultivation.
