On November 7th and 8th, SUIBE president Wang Rongming, vice chairman of the University Council and SUIBE vice president Qi Ming, SUIBE vice president Xu Yonglin, and heads of relevant departments visited SUIBE students serving as volunteers of the 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE) at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai).

Wang Rongming came to the Volunteer Home, where he visited volunteers in the positions of transaction statistics assistant, volunteer support team, trade in service booth, etc. He learned about the work of the volunteers and commended their diligent and thoughtful efforts. Wang encouraged them to give full play to their strengths, maintain high spirit, stand firm in their positions, and be brave in taking on responsibilities. He also urged them to cultivate strong capabilities as they serve the 6th CIIE and showcase the vibrant and upward image of Shanghai’s youth to the world.

Qi Ming visited the volunteers in the positions of overseas professional audience service, sub-forum, and “Little Leaf” (the nickname for CIIE volunteers) exploration, and participated in a joint study session led by the volunteer teams of SUIBE and the Oriental International Corporation. He hopes that the volunteers can work together to provide sufficient and excellent support for the CIIE, and build stronger capabilities through practice.

During the CIIE, SUIBE leaders visited the special exhibition “New Achievements in Chinese Modernization Provide New Opportunities for the World”. They encouraged the students to make good use of their dominant specialties to better present China on the stage of the CIIE.
