On October 18th, the CPC Shanghai Municipal Working Committee of Education and Health held alaunch ceremony for the Decision-making and Consulting Research Base(hereinafter referred to asDCRB in Shanghai Colleges and Universities (International Economic and Trade Innovation Governance) on the Changning Campus of SUIBE, and held a meeting on the training of key young staff of decision-making and consulting in Shanghai universities and colleges. Shen Wei, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Municipal Party Committee on Education and Health, attended and addressed the meeting, and relevant officials of the General Office of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, the Municipal Party Committee on Education and Health and the relevant departments of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, leaders of SUIBE, as well as some decision-making and consulting research institutions and expert representatives of colleges and universities attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Yang Guohao, director of the general office of the Municipal Party Committee on Education and Health.
At the meeting, Shen Wei and Chairman of SUIBE Council, jointly unveiled the DCRB and announced the official launch of the first university-level decision-making and consulting research base of Municipal Party Committee on Education and Health.
Shen Wei pointed out that launching the DCRB in SUIBE is not only a new requirement for the university to serve high-levelopening up from a higher starting point, but also conducive to forming a new pattern of high-quality development of decision-making and consulting in universities and colleges in Shanghai in the new era. It is hoped that the university will become a test field and a model for other colleges and universities in Shanghai, especially locally administrated colleges and universities, to explore the training of young talents on their decision-making and consulting skills. He encouraged the young teachers receiving training at the base to make efforts to become all-round explorers and practitioners in areas of disciplines, scientific research, education, and political consultation in the new era.
Wang Rongming, president of SUIBE, said that SUIBE will cherish the glorious mission of building the base, spare no efforts to ensure relevant supporting work, combine the spill over effect of the DCRB with the high-quality development of the university's think tank and make newer and greater contributions to high-level opening up by focusing on the internationalization in five aspects and adhering to building think tanks with its doors open.
