On the evening of October 17th, a Chinese traditional music concert as held in the Lecture Hall 507 of Information Building, marking the beginning of the ninth SUIBE Art Festival. The concert was performed by Shanghai Chinese Orchestra. Qi Ming, vice chairman of the University Council and vice president of SUIBE attended the concert.
Qi Ming gave an opening speech and announced the opening of the ninth SUIBE Art Festival. He said that the SUIBE Art Festival is a major cultural activity of SUIBE and a great stage for teachers and students to show their talents. He hoped that the Art Festival can better nurture the cultural ethics and disposition of teachers and students and spur their innovation and creativity, so that they can make new contributions to the build-up of a model campus.
