On September 24th, the 2023 International Development Cooperation Forum of China Society of World Economics was held. Co-organized by the China Society of World Economics and SUIBE, the forum focusedon the assessment of China'sinternational cooperation impact and the country's contribution to globalgovernance inthe past decade since the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) was proposed. The forum was joined by experts and scholars from organizations including Development Research Center of the State Council, Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation, colleges and universities, China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation and International Development Observer.
This one-day forum included a mainforum in the morning and three sub-forums as well as a closing ceremonyin the afternoon. The mainforum was comprised of an opening ceremony, asigning ceremony for series of textbookson international economic development cooperation and a book launch as well as a speech section. Professor Yin Yao, secretary of the CPC SUIBE Committee Li Ming, deputy director of the Policy and Planning Department of the China International Development Cooperation Agency, Zhang Wencai, vice president of the Export-Import Bank of China, professor LuoChangyuan, vice president of the China Society of World Economics and president of the Shanghai Society of World Economy delivered speeches on behalf of their institutions.
On behalf of SUIBE, Yin Yao welcomed the attendees and expressed gratitude to the China Society of World Economics. He said SUIBE has been adhering to serving the national opening-up strategy since its founding and extended his hope to further facilitate academic exchange and cooperation as well as contribute to China’s international cooperation on development in the new era.
The signing ceremony for series of textbooks on international economic development cooperationand the book launch for International Development Cooperation Impact Evaluationfollowed the opening ceremony.
