On June 29th, SUIBE held the 2023 undergraduate education and teaching work conference in Conference Room 526 at Songjiang Campus. Themed on “Taking review and evaluation as an opportunity to innovate talent training models and improve talent cultivation quality”, the conference was attended by SUIBE president Wang Rongming and was presided over by vice president Xu Yonglin.
Wang Rongming pointed out that this conference marked a periodical review of the work of SUIBE in promoting the in-depth development of moral education and accelerating the construction of first-class undergraduate education since the beginning of the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025), and carried the hope that SUIBE could deepen the reform of talent cultivation models to improve talent cultivation quality. Wang Rongming requested all units to deepen the discipline reform on the supply side and further optimize the structure of disciplines to accelerate cultivating talents urgently needed by the country, promote in-depth integration of information technology and teaching resources to further advance curriculum reform, and improve teaching quality with digital technologies and comprehensively improve faculty’s information literacy.
Xu Yonglin stressed the importance of building high-level undergraduate education, accurately grasp its new situation and demands, follow the basic laws of higher education and talent development, adhere to the mission of moral education, as well as a student-centered to continuously improve and advance the profound integration of modern information technology with teaching.
