On May 29th, SUIBE held a research seminar on think tank development and the 2023 annual think tank work conference. President Wang Rongming attended the seminar.
Wang stressed that the university advance think tank construction in an organized manner and focus on the international development of talents cultivation, faculty development, scientific research, course design and university management, so as to gain competitive advantages in building a professional think tank and continuously improve the influence of the think tank in decision-making. He encouraged the university to strive for a breakthrough by firmly grasping the opportunities created by a new round of construction of key think tanks in Shanghai and Shanghai colleges and universities, move in the right direction and form the core competitiveness of the think tank based on SUIBE’s cluster of disciplines on open economy, and innovate the evaluation system on talent cultivation and teaching performance, and the incentive system in a coordinated manner to ensure long-term development with institutional mechanisms.
Participants had in-depth discussions on the revision of the think tank document, the international development of talents cultivation, faculty development, scientific research, course design and university management and the construction of disciplines according to the characteristics of each school and research institution of SUIBE.
