On the afternoon of May 26th,SUIBE president Wang Rongming led a delegation to visit the Legislative Affairs Commission of National People’s Congress Shanghai Commission (NPCSC) for research and attended a seminar. The seminarwas also joined by Yan Rui, Director of NPCSC Legislative Affairs Commission, Cui Kai, Deputy Director of NPCSC Legislative Affairs Commission, and Lin Qi, Deputy Director of the Third Legislative Division of NPCSC Legislative Affairs Commission.
Wang Rongming briefed the seminar on the development of the SUIBE.Heemphasized that consolidating itsunique advantages in the field of global economic governance andupgrading its comprehensive strength and services, the university is accelerating its efforts to build itself into a world-renownedandfirst-class Chinese university of finance and economics withdistinctivefeatures.
Yan Rui introducedthe active exploration of the legislative work of the Shanghai NPCSC Legislative Affairs Commission in foreign-related areas such as Lin-gang Special Area of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone and Pudong New Area, with a focus on emerging fields including computer science, artificial intelligence, and unmanned driving
Both parties agreed at the seminar to leverage the synergies between universities and legislative institutionstojointly promote theinnovation and practice in the rule of law in Shanghai’s foreign-related economy and trade.
