On the afternoon of May 24th, Tong Jisheng, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Orient International (Holding) Co., Ltd.(OIH), led a delegation to visit SUIBE and attended a seminar. The delegation was joined by Wang Jia, Deputy Secretary of the OIH Party Committee, and Zheng Feng, Vice President of OIH. SUIBE president Wang Rongming attended the seminar,whichwas presided over by Qi Ming, Vice Chairman of the University Council and Vice President of SUIBE.
Wang Rongming said that SUIBE will fully leverage its strength in talent cultivation, think-tank construction, and strategic services, explore new high-quality development models of school-enterprise cooperation, and contribute to building China into a strong trading country and an education powerhouse, so as to promote the development of both China and Shanghai.
Tong Jisheng hoped that both parties could carry out high-level, profound, and sustainable pragmatic cooperation, and jointly forge a new path for the deep integration and development of Shanghai enterprises and universities, through measures such as the integration of discipline development and trade practices, the combination of academic research with the urgent needs of businesses and international experience, and the co-cultivation of cross-border business talents and university-enterprise exchange program.
Qi Ming introduced the overall situation of SUIBE in terms of talent cultivation for global economic governance, first-class discipline construction, and the promotion of the opening-up of education to the outside world.

The two sides also hadin-depth discussion on university-enterprise cooperation, training of high-end talents in areas such as cross-border business operation, and research on new forms of trade.
