On March 7th, SUIBE held a meeting to commemorate the International Women’s Day, which falls on March 8th, in the 503 conference room of the Library and Information Building of Songjiang Campus. Wu Yi, Vice Chairman of the University Council of SUIBE and Chairman of the SUIBE Trade Union attended the meeting and delivered a speech.
On behalf of the university, Wu Yi extended his best wishes to the women in SUIBE, congratulated the outstanding units and individuals honored at the meeting, and expressed heartfelt appreciation to female workers of SUIBE, as well as all the secondary Party organizations and males caring about and supporting women’s cause. He reviewed the university’s achievements in 2022 and gave full recognition to SUIBE’s female staff for their enthusiasm, high morale, and pragmatic work style.
He encouraged his female colleagues at SUIBE to always bear in mind the country’s most fundamental interests and strive for new achievements in the new era, as well as to improve family education and family values, promote civilized practices, and share stories of happiness. He also called on all secondary Party organizations, trade unions, and women’s organizations to play a leading role in building stronger relationships, becoming the “bridge of hearts” and the “kind and caring companions” of female staff.
