Executive Deputy Secretary of CICG Committee of CPC Visits SUIBE

On March 7th, Min Yi, Executive Deputy Secretary of the Committee of China International Communications Group (CICG) of CPC, director of the China Accreditation Test for Translators and Interpreters (CATTI) Office, and deputy director of China National Committee for Graduate Education of Translation and Interpreting, led a delegation to visit SUIBE for research.

SUIBE president Wang Rongming met with the delegation. Wang Rongming introduced the history and characteristics of SUIBE and its achievements in recent years in talent training, cooperation with government, enterprises, and research institutes, internationally oriented university running, and promoting high-level opening up. He pointed out that SUIBE attaches great importance to the development of foreign language discipline, hoping that the CICG will continue to give professional guidance to the discipline and that the School of Languages will carry out in-depth cooperation with the CICG to improve the quality of talent training.



Min Yi introduced the main functions of the CICG and its role in serving major national strategies. She pointed out that the CICG is striving to give full play to its multi-language, multi-carrier, and multi-platform advantages and strengthen synergistic cooperation with Chinese and foreign colleges and universities, so as to play a greater role in building a multi-subject, multi-dimensional foreign communication pattern and a strategic communication system with distinctive Chinese characteristics.
