SUIBE Holds First Salon Series on Building Better Study Environment for Undergraduate, Master and Doctorate Programs Themed “Face-to-face Meeting with SUIBE President”

On the afternoon of March 3rd, SUIBE held the first salon series on building better study environment for undergraduate, master, and doctorate programs at ChuangxiangJia in students community. Themed “Face-to-face Meeting with SUIBE President”, the salon was joined by Wang Rongming, SUIBE president, Huang Jianzhong, director of the WTO Asia-Pacific Training Center, and Liu Yonghui, dean of the Graduate School.

Wang Rongming shared his insights on academic studies with students based on his own experience and encouraged them to set higher goals, look up at the goals, choose the right path, put their feet on the ground, and work steadily to achieve their goals. He encouraged students to stay true to what they study, always keep learning to better cope with this uncertain world, and be ready to join social practice and make full use of SUIBE platforms to serve the nation with what they learn.

During the event, Wang Rongming presented two books titled Interesting Tales of Science and Economic Logic to the students.

Doctoral supervisors, Professor Huang Jianzhong and Professor Liu Yonghui, delivered keynote speeches titled Dawn blossoms plucked at dusk: Aspiration, moral integrity and confidence as well as willpower, savvy and spirituality” and “The depth, breadth and precision of learning power” respectively. He Qianqian from the International Business School, Xu Huan from the School of Statistics and Information, and Zhang Luoyuan from the School of Finance made speeches as representatives of doctoral, master and undergraduate students, respectively.
