SUIBE Signs Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Department of Commerce of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region

OnFebruary 6th and 7th, SUIBE president Wang Rongming led a delegation to Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region for investigation.



On the morning of February 7th, a signing ceremony was held at the Department of Commerce of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Su Jian, Deputy Director of the Department of Commerce, and Yu Xuemei, Vice President of SUIBE, signed the Strategic Cooperation Agreement between the Department of Commerce of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and SUIBE on behalf of both parties.The signing ceremony was witnessed by Sui Guohua, Vice-Governor of the autonomous region, Yang Chunting, Director of the Department of Commerce of the autonomous region and Wang Rongming, President of SUIBE. According to the agreement, the two sides will carry out practical cooperation in fields such as foreign economic and trade research, joint construction of open think tank platforms, and high-end training cooperation.The two sides will steadily advance institutional opening-up with regard to rules, regulations, management and standards, implement a strategy to upgrade pilot free trade areas, andexpand agloballyoriented network of high-standard free trade areas.They will further implementrelevant arrangements betweenthe governments of Shanghai and Guangxi on deepening cooperation, continuously improveopening up in Guangxi, and promote multi-level development of education and the practical innovation of study and research of SUIBE, so as to better improveindustry-university-research institute collaborationforlocal businesses and universities.


During their visit to Nanning, Wang Rongming also led the delegation toChina-ASEAN Information Harbor Co., Ltd., Beibu Gulf International Port Group and other companies and organizations in the autonomous region. They also researched the Guangxi-RCEP member economic and trade big data analysis platform, the ASEAN Information Harbor, and the plan on the new western land-sea corridor and so on.
