The tourism management program was founded in 1997, and SUIBE is one of the earliest universities in China to offer an undergraduate program in tourism. In 2010, it was adjusted to be business tours, and in 2012, a master's degree program in tourism management was approved. In 2020, this program passed United Nations World Tourism Organization International Accreditation Process (UNWTO TedQual). In 2021, a Master of Tourism Administration (MTA) program was granted. After more than 20 years of exploration and practice, this program has formed various characteristics, including high-quality, internationally and business orientated, and deep integration of enterprises, universities, and research institutes, striving to build a new highland of business tourism education with crucial international impact.
