Qi Ming, Vice Chairman of SUIBE Council & Vice President

Qi Ming, male, Han nationality, a native of Tongling in Anhui Province, was born in October 1970. He is a professor and holds a dual bachelor’s degree in law. He joined the Communist Party of China in December 1992 and began to work in July 1993. After graduating from Tongji University in July 1993, he successively served in the university as Secretary of the Youth League Committee Branch of the School of Humanities and Laws, Deputy Secretary of the General Party Branch for Joint Social Sciences, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Humanities and Laws, Deputy Director of the Student Affairs Department under the Party Committee of Tongji University, Deputy Director of the Students’ Affairs Division, Director of Student Career Center (concurrent post), Director of the Student Affairs Department under the Party Committee of Tongji University, and Director of the Students’ Affairs Division.

From September 2011 to December 2011, he was a visiting scholar at the University of California, San Diego, USA. He has been engaged in the moral education of college students and student affairs management research for a long time. He has presided over and completed several research projects for the Ministry of Education and the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, published more than 10 relevant research papers and monographs, and served as a member of the National Steering Committee on Employment & Entrepreneurship (in the Financial Industry)for Graduates from General Colleges and Universities, and Managing Director for the Research Branch of College Student Administration and Employment (Entrepreneurship) under China Association of Higher Education. He has been awarded the honorary titles of Shanghai Municipal Award for Bringing up Talent (Shanghai Yucai Award), Shanghai Model Teacher, and Excellent Moral Education Worker of Postsecondary Institutions in Shanghai.
