The Confucius Classroomjointly built by SUIBE and the Institute of Technology and Business in České Budějovice(VSTE) was inaugurated on the afternoon of October 6th, on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Czech.Zhang Maoming, chargé d'affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Czech, JarmilaStrakova, VSTE'svice president, andPetrOros, head of VSTE’s Marketing Department attended the inauguration ceremony and made speeches.Yu Xuemei, SUIBE vice president, delivered aspeech via video link.
On behalf of the Chinese Embassy in Czech, Zhang Maomingextendedwarm congratulations on the inauguration and stressed its significance inpromoting Sino-Czech people-to-peopleexchanges, motivating educational cooperation, deepening Sino-Czech traditional friendship and strengthening pragmatic cooperation as VSTE’s Confucius Classroom is the second Confucius Classroom in Czech. He hoped that VSTE's Confucius Classroom will make distinctive and outstanding performance in deepeningpeople-to-people exchanges and in enhancing the friendship between the two peoples.
JarmilaStrakovasaid VSTE's Confucius Classroomjointly built byVSTE and SUIBE will further expand the cooperation and enhance the friendship between the two parties.
Yu Xuemeiextended her heartfelt congratulationson the inauguration via video link. She introduced the development of SUIBE’s overseas Confucius Institutes and reviewed the establishment story of VSTE’s Confucius Classroom. Yu Xuemei also stressed that the founding of VSTE’s Confucius Classroom will promote further cooperation between the two sides in education, scientific research, inter-school exchanges as well as student-faculty visits.
At the ceremony, Zhang Maoming and JarmilaStrakova cut the ribbon to inaugurate the VSTE's Confucius Classroom and posed for pictures together.
