SUIBE held the 2022 opening ceremony on September 30th. The ceremony was attended by Yin Yao, chairman of the University Council of SUIBE, Wang Rongming, SUIBE president, Qi Ming, vice chairman of the University Council and vice president of SUIBE, Wu Yi, vice chairman of the University Council of SUIBE, and SUIBE vice presidents XuYonglin, Wu Zhong and Yu Xuemei. The ceremonywas also watched by the faculty, students as well as their families online.
SUIBE president Wong Rongming delivered a speech entitled Live up to the Youth and Set Sail on a Long Journey. On behalf of all faculty and students, he extended warm welcome and heartfelt congratulations to all freshmen. He encouraged the students to always keep the nation in mind, to have a pioneering spirit, and to always forge ahead. Finally, he wished all freshmen splendid four years in university.
Professor Wang Chunlei, dean of the Tourism and Event Management School, delivered a speech on behalf of the faculty. He Qianqian, the first PhD student of SUIBE from the International Business School, QianSihao, undergraduate freshman from the Law School and Wang Yifan from the Accountancy School made remarks as student representatives.
During the ceremony, SUIBE leaders presented university badges and booklets of SUIBE history to freshman representatives.
The ceremony came to an end as theShanghai University of International Business and Economics Anthem was sang by faculty and students.
