From May 5 to 31, vice president Xu Yonglin led the staff of Academic Affairs Office to conduct research on nine secondary schools. Leaderships of these schools, as well as directors and representatives of core teachers from relevant departments, majors and teaching offices participated in the research.

vice president Xu gave full recognition to these schools’ revision of talent training and teaching plans, and put forward specific requirements for them to improve subsequent amendments.

He requested the schools to strengthen top -level design and take the revision as an opportunity to further clarify talent training objectives and positioning, so as to highlight the features and advantages of each major.

He said the schools should set proper training objectives and graduation requirements based on the actual situation, carefully handle the internal relations between training objectives and graduation requirements, and between the curriculum system and graduation requirements, and achieve logical self-consistency.

Vice president Xu also requested the schools to further benchmark themselves against their peers, learn from the advanced talent training experiences of domestic and foreign universities, especially those of similar types, to further optimize the curriculum system and credit setting, and meet the individualized demands of students. (Translated by Wang Yuwei
