SUIBE, together with other 13 universities, were recently approved as PhD-granting units by Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council.
The first-level discipline of Applied Economics of SUIBE was authorized to grant doctoral degree, and postgraduate programs under the discipline can be carried out since the date of approval. Besides, the university was also approved to launch six new master’s degree programs.
It marked the first time for SUIBE to be authorized to grant doctoral degrees, and also the first time for the university to be approved to run doctoral degree programs under a first-level discipline, a symbol that the university has brought its education level and quality onto a new level.
