SUIBE Student Wins Championship at Future Leaders Forum

The annual IMEX-MPI-MCI Future Leaders Forum (FLF) East Asia took place in Shanghai on March 22. The International University Challenge at the FLF attracted the participation of 66 students. Zheng Yiqing from SUIBE’s Chinese-German joint program IEMS (International Event Management Shanghai) Class 2014 won the championship after fierce competition and will compete at the global final to be held this May in Frankfurt. Her travel expense will be fully sponsored by the organizers. Students from the IEMS program have been participating in the event for 9 consecutive years and harvested 8 championships for East Asia region. Huang Jingxian, a 2010 student of IEMS won the global championship in 2013.

The Future Leaders Forum is jointly run by IMEX (Worldwide Exhibition for Incentive Travel, Meetings and Events), MPI (Meeting Professionals International) and MCI. It’s been developed to encourage university students to join the future event management industry. With a high reputation in the industry, the forums have taken place in over 50 countries since the launch in 2003. For nine years, the IEMS program as a partner of FLF East Asia has been helping with the organization and management of the forums held in China. Since 2016 IEMS has been responsible for planning and organizing the Night of Future leaders in the Event Management Industry.
